Services

What goes on the truck

Mowing is the job. The rest is what a yard needs between cuts.

  • Mowing and edging

Weekly or every other week, cut to the height that suits your grass.

    • Mower deck cleaned between yards

    • Sharp edge along walks, drive and beds

    • Blade raised in a hot, dry spell

  • Trimming and blowing

Every visit ends with the hard surfaces blown clean.

    • Fence lines, steps and tree bases

    • Walks, drive and street edge

    • Eye and ear protection on every trimmer and blower

  • Spring and fall clean-ups

A one-time job to clear the season, then back to a regular cut.

    • Leaves, sticks and winter mess raked

    • Bagged and hauled away

    • Priced by the yard after a look

  • Overgrown yards

Tall grass is cut in stages so the lawn doesn't scalp.

    • First cut priced by text before we start

    • A regular cut after that

  • Rentals and vacant houses

For landlords and property managers with more than one address.

    • One text thread for every address

    • One price per yard

    • Skip a unit while it is empty

  • Hedges and small shrubs

Added to a regular visit, or booked on their own.

    • Hedges shaped by hand

    • Small shrubs trimmed back

    • Price texted before we start

How pricing works

Why a yard costs what it costs

  • What decides the price

Yard size sets the price, then three things move it.

    • Square feet of grass, from small to big lot

    • How often: weekly costs less per visit than every other week

    • Slope, fences and gates that slow the mower

    • Grass height at the first visit

  • What the price includes, and what it doesn't

Each visit is a mow, a trim along fences and beds, an edge along walks and drive, and a blow-off of hard surfaces.

    • Included: mowing, trimming, edging, blowing

    • Not included: bagging, hauling, leaf clean-ups, hedges

    • Not included: grass cut past about 8 inches, which is priced first

  • What happens at the first visit

There is no separate estimate visit. We measure your yard from above before we come, and the first mow is the visit.

    • We text the day and the price

    • You can change the price or stop after the first cut

    • We text when the crew is done

  • Rain, heat and skipped weeks

We move wet days to the next dry day and text you. You can skip any week by text, and a skipped week isn't billed.

  • When you get the number

Before the first mow, in a text, as one price per visit. If the yard turns out bigger than it looked from above, we text a new price before we cut, not after.

More questions

About the crew and the visit

Are you licensed and insured?

We hold a City of Kansas City business license, and the number is in the footer of every page. We carry liability insurance, and we'll text you a certificate if you ask.

What happens before the first mow?

We measure your yard from above and text you a day and a price. If you have a locked gate, a dog out back or a spot we should skip, tell us in the same text.

What should I do before you come?

Pick up toys, hoses and dog waste, and unlock the gate. You don't need to be home, and you don't need to give us water or power.

Not sure which size you are?

Text a photo of the yard and we'll tell you.
